Career Background

Geoff is the Managing Director of Standard Wool Investments Pty Ltd (previously Standard Wool Australia Pty Ltd). He has held the position since 1996 and during that time the company moved from being one of Australia’s largest integrated wool brokering, exporting and processing companies to a business with its activities mainly related to property, development and investments. He has previously held senior positions in the fishing, food and resources industries and his early career was as a commissioned officer in the Australian Regular Army – this included service in Australia and overseas.

In addition to his directorship with Standard Wool Investments Pty Ltd and his Chairmanship of the Arra Group, he also holds the following directorships:

– Chairman (and Shareholder) of Troppus IT & Management Services Pty Ltd
– President of the WAPCYC
– President of the Reabold Tennis Club (Inc)
– Member of Advisory Board of the Rekon Group Pty Ltd

He is also:

– Patron of the Western Australian Rugby Union (RugbyWA0)

His honours and awards include Medal of the Order of Australia, the Australian Sports Medal, the Centenary Medal and in 2006 was the WA Citizen of the Year in the category of Sport

Shaz, founder of Arra Energy, a substantial Indigenous majority, owned managed and controlled company and Managing Director of Arra Group, has over 16 years of experience in indigenous land access negotiations, infrastructure projects, and heritage agreements in mining, oil and gas industry. Previously he has spent over a decade working as a lawyer, advisor at executive level across range of legal functions, company board responsibilities, negotiations, external affairs and stakeholder issues.

Shaz has earned Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from University of Western Australia, Advanced Management Program (MBA) from University of Western Australia and currently pursuing MBA from Curtin University Business School (WA).

Hoss, technical advisor and leading force driving engineering and clean energy portfolios.

Before joining the Arra group, Hoss has worked with Bhpbilliton as technical advisor. Hoss has more than 20 years of experience of electrical and engineering across mining industry. Accolades that Hoss has earned ranges from bringing cost benefits, innovation and project management, development of strategy and planning for global mining giants across Australia.

He is pursuing MBA degree from Curtin University and certificates in electrical and solar engineering, maintenance management, legal studies, and business management.

Hoss is a visionary, entrepreneur and has been a true endorser of innovation, and corporate citizenship.

Hoss was awarded with Justice of the Peace in 2009 and has been contributing to our society since then. A believer in cost effective and renewable energy solutions for both consumers and in the mining and oil and gas space. In particular Indigenous groups that want self-sufficient energy and water management solutions.

A tertiary qualified Human Resources professional with specialist expertise in the Resources, Financial services, Government and sports sector. Has worked with leading organisations including Iluka Resources, Ernst and Young and British based PA Consulting. Possesses extensive experience in managing the breadth of HR activities in global companies with particular emphasis on remuneration, organisational design, training and development, Industrial relations (lead negotiator 6 EBA’s) and Executive recruitment.

A results-orientated leader and senior executive with a track record of organisational improvement through strategic analysis, organisational effectiveness and interpersonal leadership.

Steve has a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Politics and Industrial Relations from the University of Western Australia, a Diploma of Teaching from Graylands Teachers College (3 year course) and is an accredited Myers Briggs, Hay Management and Train the Trainer user / accessor.

I have been involved in the financial sector for over 35 years particularly in the areas of equities, property, agriculture and company directorships.

An experienced and proven Financial Services professional, with wide ranging skills covering the development ,marketing and distribution of financial services products. As well as investments, corporate advice, risk management and corporate governance. This experience was gained by working in the investment banking and stockbroking industries with Boston Australia Ltd, J B Were and Prudential Bache. As well as previously holding my own Australian Financial Services License and sitting on boards of ASX listed companies and Not for Profit organisations.

I have established a long and successful track record and have a demonstrated ability to develop positive long term working relationships. I am pro-active and highly customer focused , who enjoys helping people to achieve positive outcomes.
